So, let me tell you...
I'm extremely excited to kick off the first look of the year with a dress from Beatniks. Designed by Ajai Spellman, Beatniks "inspires all to dismiss the traditional rules of society and encourages them to express themselves through the art of fashion." Having had the chance to get a sneak peek of their debut Spring/Summer 15' collection, it is apparent that the Beatniks motto is demonstrated with each of the 60's mod inspired pieces.
With the opportunity to style their graphic printed shift dress, I sought to explore my inner 60's chick. I paired the dress with this cloche style hat, a completely different style from my frequent snapbacks, but a stirring alternative for this outfit. I chose to vary the overall look by adding a pair of leather front pants and a metallic waist belt.
Beatniks will be debuting their collection this Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, in Los Angeles with a runway event. You can snag your tickets here!
P.s I will be walking in the runway show, so come by and let's celebrate the wonderful beginnings of Beatniks.
Hope to see you there!
